>Sisterpreneurs Turn $25 Into a Multi-Million Dollar Phenom
Caroline and Isabel Bercaw had their brainstorm when they were 10 and 11 years old. Their parents had picked up $25 worth of ingredients to make homemade bath bombs as a science experiment. They fell in love with the glorious fragrances and vibrant colors of the bath bombs which bubble and fizz when dropped in hot water, and that’s when it hit them. They decided to make enough to sell at a local art fair near their home in Minneapolis. It worked. They sold out all 150 bath bombs they had made in a single day. And so, DaBomb Fizzers was born. By the time Isabel and Caroline were in the seventh grade, Target called. They wanted to sell their bath bombs nationwide for that holiday season. That’s when things really exploded. Today, their company, DaBomb Fizzers, sells 500,000 bath bombs a month and employs more than 100 people.
