Shanelle and Brian have been married for five years and are on the same page about their goals and dreams. They both want to go back to school and buy a house. But while Shanelle saves, Brian spends. Can he control his excessive spending habits to maintain their happy marriage and path to achieving their dreams?
Shanelle is a Program Manager who makes about $75,000. She’s good at saving; people call her “Coupon Connie.” Brian is a local pastor who makes $35,000 and his Property Management job gives them free rent and utilities in the apartment that they live in. While they have low expenses and about $50,000 in savings, Brian sees the surplus and isn’t sparing with his spending.
Both buying a house and going back to school are big expenses and may require taking out loans. But Shanelle doesn’t want them to live the rest of their lives paying off debt. And she certainly doesn’t want that future for their two sons. Will they be able to buy their home, go back to school or both? Watch the full episode of Heartbroke to find out.
